Diesel Tank Gauges
Diesel fuel tank level gauges for commercial storage tanks
Diesel tank gauges are installed onto commercial diesel tanks for the purpose of displaying visually how much fuel is within the tank. Whilst primarily used to identify when the contents are getting low and a fuel delivery is required, diesel fuel tank level gauges can also be used when the tank is being filled up to see when it is almost full. They are often combined with a diesel tank alarm so that when the tank level hits a certain low or high level, the user is audibly as well as visually alerted. Our range of diesel tank level indicators include anything from cheap and cheerful float gauges to more accurate and advance electronic gauges such as the Piusi Ocio.

FAQs
A fuel tank gauge is designed to visually display the contents of a tank and is a have piece of equipment on a storage tank to provide the owner with information on how much fuel is left in their tank, and when they need to order more.
The hydrostatic diesel tank gauge uses a submersible pressure sensor or balance chamber that is installed at a specific depth (zero level) into the tank. When the pressure sensor is filled with air by pumping a plunger on the gauge, it measures the pressure caused by the weight of the liquid directly on top of it, which allows you to get a reading.
Due to the hydrostatic paradox, the pressure sensor does not measure the complete volume in the tank above it, but only the liquid column vertically above it. For this reason, in order to provide a litre reading, these diesel tank level gauges have to be calibrated with the tank shape and size details.
