About the product
This Cim-Tek Ultimate Defense Hydroglass Filter Element is a replacement, 10 micron element for the Cim-Tek Ultimate Defense Hydroglass Bio fuel storage tank filter. This fuel tank filter element can be easily fitted as a spin on cartridge when you need a replacement. The 70lpm element is suitable for the 70236 Cim-Tek filter, whereas the 100lpm element is compatible with the 70024 Cim-Tek fuel filter.
Unlike the Cim-Tek Hydrosorb filters which use a paper element, the Cim-Tek Ultimate Defense Hydroglass alternatives make use of a high-performance fibre glass element for the more challenging nature of biodiesel. This Cim-Tek fuel filter also benefits from a higher dirt holding capacity which results in longer element life.
This Cim-Tek 70236 & 70024 fuel tank filter elements are supplied alone, with the optional compatible head available to purchase separately (see accessories table).

How long should a fuel filter last before I need to replace the element?
Unfortunately, there is no exact answer to this question as it all depends on the level of contamination in your fuel. The dirtier the fuel in your tank, the quicker the filter will get full. We advise that you always have a spare filter element on-site so that you experience no downtime if your filter is full and blocks.
