About the product
The Contoil VZF 15 Fuel Oil Meter is an industry recognised digital display meter from Aquametro to accurately measure fuel oil consumption in your choice of lph or kg/h. Thanks to its larger flow capabilities, the Aquametro oil meter is designed for use with boilers, engines and generators in industrial and marine environments. Supplied as standard with a 4-20mA pulse output, the VZF Contoil flow meters can be easily connected to a building management system or external display for convenient remote reading.
The VZF is a versatile fuel flow meter which has the ability to be retrofitted to an existing boiler/burner system, and can be installed indoors, outdoors, vertically and horizontally.
Please note: If being used with HVO, the meter should be re-calibrated based on it's SG of 0.78 (diesel is 0.84).

I am looking for a heating oil meter, do I need to match the inlet/outlet to the pipework size?
No, it is a common misconception that the choice of oil meter depends upon the size of the pipework installed. This is because oil heating engineers are commonly over-specifying the supply pipe size, thinking that they will achieve a better flow rate by doing this. Generally speaking, as long as the flow rate requirements of the system match that of the fuel oil meter, then it should be fine.
