I am looking for a heating oil flow meter, do I need to match the inlet/outlet to the pipework size?
No, it is a common misconception that the choice of oil flow meter depends upon the size of the pipework installed. This is because oil heating engineers are commonly over-specifying the supply pipe size, thinking that they will achieve a better flow rate by doing this. Generally speaking, as long as the flow rate requirements of the system match that of the fuel oil flow meter, then it should be fine.
